Good scientific practice

To ensure and strengthen good scientific practice, the German scientific system has a comprehensive system based on self-regulation. This is based on the guidelines for ensuring good scientific practice adopted by the German Research Foundation (DFG) in 1998 and last updated in 2019.

MLL GmbH is committed to implementing these guidelines and recognizes the DFG code “Guidelines for Ensuring Good Scientific Practice” in its current version as a binding frame of reference.

Furthermore, MLL GmbH cooperates on the basis of a contractual agreement with the University of Lübeck and the Investigation Commission for Good Scientific Practice established there in accordance with Sections 8 and 10 of the principles of scientific practice applicable there. Further information on the commission can be found on the University of Lübeck website:  link

In cases of conflict regarding good scientific practice and in questions of possible scientific misconduct, employees can also contact the ombudspersons at the University of Lübeck confidentially and independently. The ombudspersons provide advice in such cases, receive reports, and accompany the further proceedings.
