HEALTHeye
HEALTHeye is a German-Danish research initiative that develops digital solutions for home monitoring of chronic diseases. By combining biomedical optics, artificial intelligence, and modern eHealth technologies, we use the eye as a diagnostic window into the human body. The project’s goal is to develop wearable monitoring systems and a digital platform that enable patients and healthcare professionals to monitor health safely and efficiently from home. This is intended to improve medical care in rural regions in particular. HEALTHeye brings together expertise in medical technology, digitalization, and eHealth, thereby promoting innovation and cross-border collaboration in Northern Germany and Southern Denmark. The cross-border consortium unites partners from Germany and Denmark—as well as numerous network partners from research, clinical practice, and industry, including EUROIMMUN and Novo Nordisk.
