Paul Strenge, scientist of the Medical Laser Center Luebeck and PhD student at the Institute of Medical Informatics of the University of Luebeck, received the award for second best poster presentation at the BiOS conference, part of Photonics West 2021, that took place from March 6th to March 11th.
The $250 prize was awarded by representatives from the Editorial Boards of Neurophotonics and the Journal of Biomedical Optics based on criteria such as content and presentation effectiveness. Paul Strenge presented his work on the characterization of brain tumor tissue with 1310nm optical coherence tomography which he carried out as part of our BMBF-funded project Neuro-OCT.
